Apples In Commercial Areas Are Better Than During Forty
The July 1 1941 condition of apples in commercial areas stood at 65 percent, above last year and the six year average. Eastern states show mixed prospects with New England slightly below average, New York higher, and rainfall needed in some areas. The report notes favorable spraying conditions and small anticipated losses from scab and insects. In Virginia, a chancery decree in the Marple Williams case sets a hearing with Master Commissioner duties to report heirs and property details, fixed for July 30 1941 at Winchester, with ongoing filings and potential partition and lien inquiries.
