Five people riding from Winchester to Baltimore were injured when their car skid on a wet Berryville pike and hit a concrete culvert south of Charles Town West Virginia. Mrs Gertrude Over and Mrs Margaret Cahill were listed in critical condition. Mrs Colleen Over and Mrs Francis Shanholtz received injuries and were treated. one rider Mrs Shanholtz was discharged later.

Five Hurt As Auto Skids Near Charles Town Crash

An embankment allegedly blocked driveway access, forcing Green to consider raising his house and leveling yard.
