Rites Tomorrow for Dr Baetjer in Baltimore

Dr. Baetjer a pioneer in roentgenology died of heart disease at 3 45 am in Catonsville Maryland He would have been 59 in August His widow and two children survive as well as a brother A memorial service will be held at Timothy's Protestant Church in Catonsville with interment in Loudoun Park Cemetery Officials note his lifelong work to prove X ray uses and his role in shifting focus to diagnostic radiology He endured over a hundred X ray operations on his own hands and arms, losing an eye in 1908 while advancing medical science.

Local Delegation Plans Rites for Dr Baetjer

A number of local residents will attend the funeral for Dr Frederick Henry Baetjer of Baltimore at his Catonsville home at 11 tomorrow morning. The internationally known Xray specialist was a Winchester native and brother of J George Baetjer. The Winchester city, local medical profession, Winchester Memorial Hospital and citizens will be represented.
