Feud Sparks Fatal Battle as Chicago House Is Dynamited
Seven people die and five are wounded after a pitched battle in Chicago as Bob McIntosh and his wife barricade inside a west side home. Police dynamite the house after hundreds of shots, with McIntosh and his wife firing belts of cartridges and officers taking heavy fire. The feud began when Mrs Bedford’s husband sought a warrant following a quarrel with Mrs McIntosh, triggering the deadly exchange.

James Crim Sentenced for Horse Theft in Winchester
James Crim, formerly of a county, was sentenced in Winchester Corporation Court by Judge T. W. Harrison for three years the minimum Virginia penitentiary term for stealing a horse from Liveryman Pine of Berryville and selling it to Liveryman Van Meter in Martinsburg. An additional indictment for stealing the bugeye and harness and selling them also resulted in a 35 fine and ten days in jail.
