Deputy Wigginton Heads Raiders Who Capture Big Still
A raiding party led by Deputy Sheriff A J Wigginton and including three West Virginia prohibition officers under Agent Dyche found a fifty gallon still on Back Creek near DeHaven post office in Frederick County. The still was moved to Winchester with no occupants located, but evidence showed recent liquor operations. Four barrels of mash were destroyed and a half gallon of liquor found.WV agents joined the party as the still’s location straddled the Virginia border.
