State police say a drug smuggling ring operating in Blacksburg Lexington and Charlottesville has been dismantled with three arrests since Wednesday. About 31000 in marijuana and LSD were seized along with two cars and 10000 in cash. Albemarle Sheriff Bailey called it the biggest bust to date.

Two Killed in Strasburg Wreck
In Strasburg at about 6 45 p m two young men died when a 1977 Buick struck a water truck on Rt 11 two miles north of the town. Charles Edward Shaw Jr 23 of Toms Brook and Jeffery Lynn Hottle 21 of Strasburg were pronounced dead at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock.
