Fairfax County arrests four in Navy Lt. Rolland slayings
Four suspects were arrested in the Monday night slayings of Navy Lt. Cmdr. Jean F. Rolland and his son in Fairfax County. Robert William Whitney, 23, charged with murder, held on 100000 bond. Harvey Newman, 23, and Albert Spinner, both charged as accessories after the fact. The 1964 Pontiac used in the crime was recovered in Merrifield. A preliminary hearing for Whitney is set for Friday.
