Treasure map eases Florida pirate gold hunt plan
Florida assistant attorney general Ralph E. Odum and Draftsman Warner Sanford created a vivid treasure map after years of research. The chart marks cross spots where legends say plunder lies across Florida, estimating about 165 million dollars in treasure while noting no digging has occurred. Odum prefers the 25 to 35 million dollars of Aztec gold aboard the Santa Rosa, sunk near Key West in 1520, though salvage is blocked by depth.
