Violations Cited in Funds for Agnew Gala
GAO accuses Roy Pfautch and others of assisting in obtaining fictitious contributor names and signing false documents for the Agnew dinner. The committee allegedly hid $47,000 in corporate contributions and used $4,000 for gala expenses. The Maryland committee filed some reports, but federal filing was required for federally registered committees. Watergate updates include Krogh invoking the Fifth and discussions of Nixon resignation considerations.
