Fleeing Autoist Wrecks Car Lands in Berryville Jail
Randolph Brooks twenty four was held in Berryville jail on auto larceny charges. Arley Jackson, a patient at Winchester hospital with a fractured collar bone, was injured when the car they rode in rolled three times near Bunker Hill West Virginia. Deputy Sheriff S M Carper said Brooks took the car from Mrs Rose Skoges Friday night and sped off. Authorities arrested them after the wreck at the railroad crossing.

Poliomyelitis Cases Reported in Pulaski Area

Front Royal Boat Explodes Off Bolling Field
Two Front Royal men escaped uninjured when their speed boat exploded and sank in the Potomac River off Bolling Field in Washington last night. Police identified the occupants as Richard L. Midget Racing Returns to Winchester Airport Speedway
Sunday events at Winchester airport speedway left several riders with minor injuries. Leonard Koeneig of Palmyra Pa and William Bowers of Hagerstown sustained injuries as cars crashed and sprayed fuel. Bowers and Koeneig were treated and released. Laster flipped but landed upright. About 1500 fans witnessed Paul Anderson of Arlington win the feature race.
