A 26 year old seaman, Luis Robinson, hijacked a bus at JFK, killed two people, and wounded three during a nine hour standoff. He surrendered after failing to obtain 6 million dollars and a flight to Cuba. Robinson claimed he was broke and planned to return to his ship USS Detroit in Maine.
