Morgan Shot at Glen Cove. Holt Confesses in Washington
J P Morgan was shot twice at his Glen Cove summer home by Frank Holt a former Cornell language instructor. Holt confessed to placing a dynamite bomb in the Senate chamber in Washington and claimed he acted to stop exports of war munitions. Morgan survived after surgery. Holt awaits further examination in Mineola Nassau County jail.

Death of Joseph Flemister Called By Death
Mr. William Flemister of this city reports the death of his half-brother, Joseph Flemister, 54, Saturday morning at his Baltimore home where he long served the Western Maryland Railroad. Known as Tony, he was a native of Winchester and a son of the late Joseph and Bien Flemister. Survived by brother Edward Flemister and sister Mrs. Annie Cronke of Baltimore, with a half brother in Winchester. Funeral arrangements pending.

A report from Winchester says Charles E Stump died from a fractured skull after being struck by a hook while working at the Western Maryland Railway wreck site near Thurmont. He died at Washington County Hospital in Hagerstown. Survived by a widow and three children, his body was brought to Winchester and laid to rest at Mount Hebron Cemetery after funeral services at the home of his father in law on North Market Street. Stump was born near Double Tollgate and had many local connections and friends.
