West Virginia Youth Killed in Route 50 Crash Near Winchester
Robert James Fout, 17, of Augusta, died at Winches ter Memorial Hospital after a two car collision on Route 50 east near the Opequon bridge. Dr. John William Marsh, 66, and Mrs. Mignon Bernard, 66, were treated and released. Another 17 year old, Stephen Landis, also treated for chest contusions and facial injuries. Rescue squads from Winchester and Berryville transported the injured.

Cows Die In Clarke Barn Fire At Fairfax Acres Farm
A Clarke County barn fire at John C. Digges Fairfax Acres farm south of White Post killed at least 22 dairy cows and possibly as many as 130 cattle. Loss estimated at 50 000 to 60 000 dollars with hay milking gear and vehicles destroyed. Firefighters from Boyce and Berryville battled the blaze from 3 p.m. until nightfall with neighbors aiding in rescuing livestock.

Bus Crash Near Ozark Feared Dead Toll Rises
A bus carrying migratory workers from Orlando to Missouri crashed into an embankment nine miles north of Ozark Alabama. Coroner Harold Dick said the death toll could reach as high as 11 with nine confirmed dead and two dying in hospitals. Injured were taken to Ozark Dothan and Ft. Rucker Army Hospital.
