Officers and directors were elected and a new program promises 100 cent reimbursement for former members with unsettled stock loans. John Painter Passes Away in Stephens City
John Thomas Painter 67 a longtime Stephens City resident and assistant bestmaster at the local post office died at Winchester Memorial Hospital after a two week illness from a heart condition. He was born May 6 1878 and survived by his wife Elizabeth A Painter. Funeral services will be held February 2 at 2 PM at Jones Funeral Home with ministers Earl C Day and Raymond L Booze. Interment in Green Hill Cemetery.
