Crack Down On Poker Playing In Restaurant
Eight colored and three white men were arrested at the Virginia Restaurant on Piccadilly by Officer Carlton Manual. They were found guilty by Trial Justice F. L. Largent Jr. Five men were fined 30 and costs and given 30 day suspended sentences for playing poker. Five others were convicted of frequenting a disorderly place.
