Alleged Bogus Check Operators Jailed In Luray
Two men named P. L. Salter and Robert O'Neil were arrested in Luray Virginia on charges of passing bogus drafts after defrauding J. R. Ducharme, hotel proprietor, of 92 dollars. They allegedly posed as traveling salesmen at Hotel Jack, presented drafts drawn on their business houses, and urged Ducharme to cash them. The drafts cleared, then the men disappeared until the Luray arrest. Authorities say Winchester may prosecute afterward.
