Rep Randolph says a 1500 bed army general hospital will be built near Martinsburg West Virginia. The War Department authorized the announcement and army engineers from Pittsburgh will supervise. Construction will begin immediately with details not yet disclosed.
Representative Randolph confirms a Winchester Star report that a 1500 bed hospital is likely to be built about five miles east of Martinsburg on the Baltimore and Ohio main line at the Franklin Clapham farm.
