Safety caps defeat by users at medical college pharmacy
A survey of 100 patients at the Medical College of Hospitals pharmacy found 38 percent failed to use safety caps properly. Of those questioned, 43 spilled medication, 20 left caps off, 7 replaced caps, and 24 transferred drugs to another container. The study notes inadequate instructions from health care staff.
