Funeral Rites Held For Late Mrs. Boxwell
The funeral for Sally Fries Boxwell widow of Chas. H. Boxwell was held at the Lupton home on South Stewart street. Rev. George W Stover and Rev. Dr. F T McFaden conducted services with hymns led by the choir. Interment followed in Mount Hebron Cemetery with pallbearers named. Relatives from away included Mrs. Laura Griffith and Howard Tickner of Baltimore and Mr. and Mrs. J T Hurley of Washington.

Boy Fined for Gun Incident at Capitol Theatre
George McCormick from New York, employed on a race horse farm near Boyce, brought a .22 pistol to the Capitol Theatre. The weapon dropped from his overcoat causing a disturbance as he seated with a friend group. He posted bail and was fined 25.25 dollars by Police Justice Donald Leems.

Winchester Budget Maintains Tax Rate Amid City Needs
Winchester keeps the $1.55 per $100 assessment tax rate for 1932. The budget, balanced at $289 293.64, funds schools and city services with increased appropriations for Memorial Hospital and Handley Library by $1,000 each.
