Man Charged After Attempted Robbery Of Officer Chickens
In Woodstock on January 14 Chief of Police Luther G. Sheetz held Frank Coffman on an attempted theft charge. Coffman used a seven year old to fetch a chicken from Sheetz store, claiming it was his property. The manager, misbelieving the man to be the chief, allowed the act and Coffman later received the birds. The chief retrieved the chicken at his gate and a warrant followed.
