She ran a wallpaper and paint store on East Boscawen Street for 20 years and was active in Braddock Street Methodist Episcopal Church. She is survived by sister Miss Bessie Hillyard, brother Garner B Hillyard of Baltimore, stepdaughter Miss Beulah Trenary, two nieces, and a nephew. Funeral from the South Braddock Street home will be Wednesday at 3 p.m., with Rev. Dr. Hubert Sydenstricker officiating. interment Mount Hebron Cemetery.

Claims Drunks Deputized During Textile Strike

Babe Without Throat May Live
A baby girl born in Baltimore without a throat opening survived after an emergency operation at Maryland General Hospital that inserted a rubber tube to create a throat passage.
