Garage and Service Station Fire at Bunker Hill
In Bunker Hill West Virginia on January 15 a fire destroyed the Mid Way Garage and Service Station along the Martinsburg Winchester pike with all contents. The blaze started early Monday and the roof was nearly gone before neighbors noticed. Firefighters limited spread to nearby structures. The frame building was owned by W E Tabb and Millard Custer. Loss partly insured.

Second Act of Mrs Glass Dies Out West
Herbert Campbell, brother of Mrs. Nannie R. Glass, died in Nowata Oklahoma after a brief illness of double pneumonia. He was a Frederick county native who moved to Oklahoma in the eighties and owned large ranches in Oklahoma and Texas. He never married and is survived by two sisters and two brothers. The funeral was held at two o'clock in Novaeto with burial there.

The Handley Judges were defeated 36 to 7 at Hagerstown Saturday night. They fought hard but were outmatched, with a rematch set for Handley’s floor on February 1. Sixteen year old Rosenberger dies after Round Hill shooting
James H. Rosenberger aged sixteen died at Winchester Memorial Hospital after being shot in the back by companion James Marriner while rabbit hunting on Round Hill four miles west of Winchester.
