School Van Slides Down Embankment Near Beecher Ill

A 12 passenger special education school van slid on icy rural roads north of Beecher rolled down an embankment and overturned injuring 12 to 20 students. About 20 children were treated at St James Hospital Chicago Heights with some serious injuries. The driver was Richard Baker of Frankfort. Details on the school involved were not released.
