Wood Splitting Demonstration Draws Energy Wise Customers
James Watt of Mountain Falls operates a wood cutting and splitting service using a hydraulic splitter. He plans a free public demonstration Saturday at the Frederick Farm Bureau lot on Boscawen Street from 9 am to noon. Watt markets 100 percent seasoned wood in 16 20 and 24 inch lengths with logs up to 50 inches diameter. He notes the trend toward wood burning to cut energy costs and plans to store wood in a Winchester warehouse for pickup.
