Frederick County Board approves accounting study for central system
In a split vote the Frederick County Board of Supervisors authorized a study of the county accounting system and the feasibility of a centralized system. The county executive secretary was empowered to contract with the State Auditor's Office, at an estimated cost of about 1500 dollars. If a Department of Accounting is later created, costs could rise by about 500 dollars. The board also approved a tax bill administration change directing the Commissioner of Revenue to prepare and deliver all tax bills to the treasurer.
