Cautious Yes on Water Plan for Forrest Lake Estates

Frederick County Sanitation Authority members voted unanimously to provide water to the Forrest Lake Estates Mobile Home Park under an agreeable contract drawn up by authority attorneys. The vote reflected caution as residents and timeframe for full usage remain uncertain. The panel also discussed a water filtration issue in Fredericktowne and approved smoke and air testing to locate leaks. They estimated breaks could number in double digits and cost about 3000 dollars to investigate. Additionally the authority considered a 360500 loan with Farmers and Merchants Bank at 5 percent to replenish reserves and reviewed feasibility of extending water lines to Stephenson Welltown and Brucetown. Executive session led to adopting wage-study recommendations from engineer Jones, and a bill of sale for the Senseny Heights Subdivision water lines was approved.
