Victory tax applies to all earning over twelve dollars per week
It was learned this afternoon that all persons earning more than 12 dollars per week are subject to the five percent victory tax on all income earned since January 1. This includes teachers ministers and all other classes. When employers do not deduct social security the employer is not required to deduct the tax. In these cases the employee will pay the tax along with 1943 income on ce earnings.
