In Stephens City Virginia Fred Stickley completed casing a well reached 165 feet with 8 inch steel casing extending 25 feet to bedrock. The 12 hour test produced 60 to 70 gallons per minute while the water level fell 65 feet. The town plans a pump contract and an electric turbine with 50 gpm capacity and will seek bids within 30 days. A 75 000 gallon elevated tank is planned later as part of the municipal water system led by Mayor W Lomax Parker and council members.
