Two Youth Burglary Ring Frustrated in White Post
In Yville Virginia February 28 two youths were trapped during a burglary at George R. Green's White Post store. Deputy Feltner and Mr Green hid in the shop and surprised the pair as they forced the door. Robert Gaunt and Dave Wedlock, both colored, along with Buster Jackson and Clifford Ford, were jailed after admitting involvement in recent break-ins. A preliminary hearing held before L C Rackley led to grand jury action on burglary charges.

New Contract Set For Carrying Mail Between Winchester and Martinsburg
The Post Office Department will award a new contract to carry mails between Winchester Virginia and Martinsburg West Virginia. The current holder is John G Bowman of Frederick County. The six daily trips include a second trip stopping at each post office en route. First trip mails include all classes. second trip carries first class mail newspapers special delivery and parcels post only.
