Unemployment Rate Falls Below National Average in Virginia

Car Motorcycle Crash Damages Home on Amherst Street
One person, Paul Smith 25, was treated and released after a 6 p.m. crash on Amherst Street near Fox Drive involving a car, a motorcycle and a house. Harry Anderson 75 reportedly entered the intersection triggering the collision. Anderson's car backed 200 yards into Clyde Keckley’s porch at 1338 Amherst, causing $500 porch and $1,000 car damage. The motorcycle was a total loss. Police investigators were Frank Kalafat and Roy Grove.
