Two more television sets were stolen in Frederick County bringing the total to three in two weeks. Sheriff Robert L. De Haven said the RCA combination TV radio was taken from Mr and Mrs Harry McAboy near Clearbrook while absent. At the same time the Raymond Derflinger home near Opequon was entered and a Philco television stolen along with an electric mixer a GE radio a double broiler a child’s snow suit and canned goods. On February 9 Harry Mason of Best Church reported a 17 inch table model TV theft while away. A similar theft was recently reported in Clark County.

Fire erupts on air compressor motor at local supplier

In Munsan Korea today Communists categorically rejected an Allied plan to ban Russian supervision of the Korean truce. The Allies proposed four neutral nations to police the truce, excluding Norway from UN lists and Russia from the Red Nominations. Staff officers remained deadlocked on the number of entry ports, with six proposed by Allies and five by Communists. Talks adjourned to Wednesday as both sides accused the other of stalling. The UN compromise would limit neutral supervisors to Sweden, Switzerland, Poland and Czechoslovakia, aiming to bypass the Russian involvement problem. Colin Shan said the issue is not numbers but objections to the other side’s nominations.
