Winchester Native John Campbell Dies of Apoplexy in Oklahoma
John Edwards Campbell a Frederick county native died of apoplexy at his Nowata Oklahoma home while speaking with his nephew after returning from a church service. Survived by daughter E B Lawson son Herbert L and siblings Nannie Glass Emma Malpin Bean C Campbell Robert M Campbell Bert C Campbell and Allen W Campbell. Born near Winchester Virginia March 23 1847 he taught in Virginia and planned an extended visit to Cuba and the Panama Canal before his death. Continued on Page Seven.
