Mutiny in Turkey Reported Smashed
ANKARA Turkey AP a flash mutiny by disgruntled young reofficers that brought Turkey to the brink of civil war was declared smashed today. Premier Ismet Inonu, 78, announced his government in command and said the rebellion was ended. Army air force and navy chiefs rallied behind Inonu and seized ringleaders including officers connected with the signal corps and other schools. The mutiny centered on strategic buildings in Ankara and was confined to several military training centers as the government restored order.

Feather Moved To Hagerstown Warrants Issued
Keith Feather, held with out bond in Frederick Md for the murder of his wife Betty Joe Feather 29, was moved to Hagerstown Md where he awaits a preliminary hearing. A murder warrant was issued by Washington County Magistrate Elmer G Miller after Winchester police connected the shooting to the local case and authorities conferenced with Frederick County Md and Maryland State Police. Carneal daylight time bill clears Virginia House committee
The Carneal bill proposing daylight saving time in Virginia from late April to late October won approval in the House General Laws Committee by 10 to 7 after the panel earlier rejected a year round standard time plan by 8 to 7. The committee also killed Del. Kathryn Stone's 75 cent an hour state minimum wage bill on an 11 to 5 vote.
