Haley, born Nashville 1925, married to Led Haley, superintendent of Wisechester Department of Welfare.
New York police the FBI and the RCMP sought possible additional members in a thwarted terrorist plot to dynamite the Statue of Liberty the Washington Monument and the Liberty Bell. Authorities refused comment on reports the search spread to Cleveland Detroit Washington Philadelphia and Chicago.

Berryville will gain Direct Distance Dialing for long distance calls and touch tone service, expanding 90 percent of Virginia users to Direct Distance Dialing.
North Vietnam accused South Vietnamese commando boats of shelling Quynh Lap commune in Nghe An Province at 12:30 a m. A Hanoi radio broadcast cited shore fire in response and called the raid a provocation. U S Saigon officials declined comment while stressing South Vietnam’s right to defend itself. In Quang Tri Province a major engagement claimed about 200 Viet Cong killed, with 16 soldiers dead, 28 wounded and 29 missing. an American Marine adviser was seriously wounded.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr warns broader civil disobedience in Selma and Dallas County if N ero demands are not met after a strategy conference with local leaders. He cites slow voter registration, calls for Sheriff Clark’s removal, and notes Dallas County’s 29,515 voting age residents with 9,542 whites and 335 Negro registered voters.
A cold front from the northwest will be near central Virginia this afternoon. Little cloudiness expected in the next few days with no major impacts.
