Clarke County Virginia 19 year old David Childs was charged with hit and run after Wesley Hott 63 a transient died from injuries after being struck near the Opequon bridge on Route 7. Childs released on 1 4 bond with his father acting as surety. Hott of Keyser West Virginia died at Winchester Memorial Hospital three hours after the crash. An initial hearing is due before Justice L C Kackley this week.
