McClure Wins Lincoln Medal At Shenandoah Valley Academy
Following the close of school a ceremony honored Abraham Lincoln at Shenandoah Valley Academy. The Illinois Watch Company sponsored a 2 essay contest with a medal donated to the winner. Lieut. Col. Roszel introduced the event and presented the medal to F. W. McClure of Lexington, VA. Lt. Carson quoted Lincoln on Gettysburg, and RK. Gray Williams delivered a focused address on Lincoln's life.

HARPERS FERRY W Va Feb 14 The highway bridge linking Maryland and West Virginia roads reopened to traffic yesterday after remains of three new spans were completed delays due to creosoted flooring arriving from Norfolk. The bridge company laid old flooring awaiting the new material.
