In Philadelphia AP reports Chief Judge J Cullen Ganey sentenced 14 indictments in about two hours finishing two days of antitrust penalties. Fines total approached two million dollars as electrical manufacturing firms faced penalties after the federal court session.
A large frame house two miles southeast of Middletown on Reliance Road burned to the ground yesterday. No one was home. William Hubbell of Reliance owned the 15 room structure. Firefighters faced a snow clogged driveway and a bulldozer aided in clearing access. Edward Wallings, a worker, was overcome by smoke and hospitalized.
