Two vehicles burned last night on Route 51 near Winchester and Hunting Ridge. A 1935 Oldsmobile owned by George Colvin crashed into a 1939 Chevrolet pickup belonging to James Frye, starting a fire in the Northwestern Grade in front of Roundill School. A 1941 De Soto owned by the Polly Cab Company burned earlier near Hunting Ridge, fire under the dash blamed for the blaze. Lupton Orchard Service Company fire teams fought both fires but could not save the cars. A separate chimney fire on Berryville Avenue at 700 was extinguished on arrival.
