Lieut Miller Granted Indefinite Leave of Absence
First Lieutenant George Miller of Company I 116th Infantry received notice from the Department of Motor Vehicles of an indefinite leave of absence from duties as a state trooper effective tomorrow. He said the leave anticipates his being ordered to an officer's school at Fort Meade Md. to be held soon. The training is expected to continue until early February when Company TI may be inducted into the national service.

DETROIT December 31. The United Automobile Workers petitioned the National Labor Relations Board for an employee election at Ford Motor Lincoln plant to determine exclusive bargaining rights. About 3,800 workers are employed there and 95 percent designated the union as their agent. Ford attorney Apizzi said the company will not consent to an election. The union had charged an intent to disregard a rehiring agreement at Lincoln Plant.

Nursery School To Be Operated In City

Short Circuit Blamed For Cadiz Mine Blast
