Lloyd Lee Anderson 54 of Richmond died when his car overturned on U S 1 in Spotsylvania County. Marie E Paige 8 and Dianna Paige 3 of Charlottesville died in a Madison County crash on U S 29 bypass near Va 687.

Rain slicked highways contributed to two traffic crashes in Frederick County yesterday. No injuries were reported. Robert Lee Lofton of 712 N. Boudoin St. drove south on Route 11 about four miles north of Winchester when a dog-related stop caused a following vehicle driven by Charles Price Jr. of Martinsburg to crash into Lofton. The incident occurred around 4 30 p.m. A second crash on Route 622 near Nain at about 3 20 p.m. involved another State Trooper report.
