Traffic Helicopter Crashes Through Apartment Roof in Quincy
A traffic helicopter owned by Omni Beechcraft Co. of Danvers crashed through the roof of a two story Quincy apartment building near Station Street and exploded. Two people were killed and four injured including a 10 week old baby. names include Chip Whitmore and pilot Red Banks. Witnesses said the craft dived and struck the roof during an attempted emergency landing near the expressway.
