Friends report the death of Edward Ned McCartney at the Lowman Lutheran Home White Rock South Carolina last Friday night aged about 60. A Winchester native he lived here most of his life until moving two years ago to the home. He was the last of his family. Funeral services were at White Rock with burial there. He was son of the late George E McCartney and Katherine Anderson. A sister Katie McCartney died long ago. Uncle Frank M Anderson of this city is the nearest surviving relative along with several cousins. He belonged to Grace Lutheran Church and the Sarah Zane Fire Company.
