John Cameron 48 is held for preliminary hearing on manslaughter and failing to stop after a Christmas Eve accident on the Berryville pike near Winchester. James Corbin, 9, died in the crash as his bicycle companion Edward Mills watched and a truck fled the scene. Corbin’s funeral was held at Ebenezer Church in Romney, West Virginia, with friends and relatives in attendance.

Investigators found half filled liquor glasses in the room where Mrs. Cordelia Campbell was fatally wounded during a family Christmas gathering in Warren Ohio. Coroner J C Henshaw and prosecutors examined two bullet holes as Miss Louise Campbell 28 admitted firing the shots. Prosecutor Paul J Reagan said Miss Campbell obtained a revolver from her car and fired at a candle in what was described as a possible act of fun.
Arrested Kantsu Kato poletarian member of the Japanese parliament and chief executive of the all- Japan council of labor and farmer unions is named among 370 detained in Japan. Many leading citizens seized as opposition parties are wiped out signaling the start of an all-Fascist regime.

Sixteen of 29 Ford Motor Company former employees reinstatement ordered by the National Labor Relations Board conferred with United Automobile Workers officials in Detroit.
