British Claim Rights To Idea Of A Sailless Ship
Walter Scotter and brother from Hull claim Britain holds patent rights to the rotor ship concept credited to Germany. They say patents were granted in 1917 for the rotor principle, and Scotter offered the invention to the British government during the war but officials did not examine it. The rotor ship uses two tall cylinders rotated by a motor instead of sails.
