Upperville Girl Hit By Car On Main Street
Little Patsy Ann Embrey, daughter of Mr and Mrs Eugene Embrey of Upperville, was struck and badly injured by a car driven by Sergeant John P Topar on North Loudoun street near the Farmers and Merchants National Bank while crossing to shop for Christmas. She was taken to a hospital by Friendship ambulance. the extent of injuries was not known. Topar and five soldiers were passing through Winchester on a Christmas furlough. he is held by police as the investigation continues. Tire marks show the car traveled 18 feet before stopping.
