Shriners Lose Band Instruments In Big Fire
A large blaze on Druid Hill avenue and Eutaw street destroyed about 30000 dollars worth of band instruments and other property of the Shriners. Twenty two fire units battled the three story building once used by Johns Hopkins University as a storage and practice site. Shrine bandsmen had left before the fire, which attracted shoppers and disrupted traffic. The Boumi Temple of the Baltimore Shriners Demolay and the Tall Cedars of Lebanon owned the stored property.
