Six Hurt in Clarke Auto Collision
A Maryland couple and two of their three children were hospitalized after a two vehicle crash on Rt. 7 near the Triple J Grocery two miles west of Berryville. Wayne Swisher and Kay Swisher along with daughter Darlene were treated for various facial and scalp injuries. Debora suffered a facial fracture and nose injury. Dana was unhurt. Berryville residents Ray Foltz and John Dillon, treated for whiplash, were released. Trooper reports the Pontiac was rear struck as it attempted a left turn. both cars totaled with damages around $1,750.

Four families lost all possessions as two Winchester homes and a Frederick County house burned since 10 p.m. yesterday. Five alarms sounded, three for smaller fires and two for smoke scares. A frame duplex at 39 Fremont St. burned at 12:30 p.m. today, prompting Salvation Army appeals for furnishings. The Poston and Robertson families occupied the structure. Wires hampered fire crews. a furnace fire at 18 W Germain St. caused another blaze last night, with Ellen Cahill spotting the glow and smoke.

Mrs McGeath Wins $10 000 Damages in Front Royal Crash
Mrs. Benjamin McGeath of At 50 east won $10 000 after a Winchester Corporation Court jury ruled in her favor in a $150 000 suit against Thomas Rutherford of Front Royal. No damages were awarded to her husband who sought $75 000. The Feb 3 1958 collision at Boscawen and Washington Streets left both drivers negligent per the verdict. Attorneys Kuykendall Larrick and Phillips represented the McGeaths and Rutherford respectively.
