Sheriff Finds A 30-Gallon Still In County Raid
Sheriff Pannett and Deputy Wigginton, acting on a search warrant, found a copper still about 30 gallons capacity on the James B farm in Frederick County. They seized the still and a jug of liquor, with five barrels of cash and other gear, and planned to hold Frank Snarr for preliminary hearing. The raid occurred around 11 oclock. the still is described as one of the largest captured recently. The elderly James Bucher, about 76, may have known of the still but isn’t charged with direct involvement.
