Dallas Wilkins of Stephens City, foreman in the Plastics Division of O Sullivan Rubber Corp, was severely shocked when he touched a high tension line feeding 34 500 volts at the plant. He was hospitalized with electrical burns. condition not critical. Power was cut for about two hours as Northern Virginia Power Co crews restored service. Inter-plant telephone links were briefly disrupted but restored with auxiliary batteries.

Doctor Slain in Virginia Slaying Near Branch
Dr. Thomas Watkins 81 a long time rural physician was slain by a gunshot wound to the left chest. Medical Examiner Dr. G T Mann said Watkins died quickly and there was no sign of stabbing or beating. A 25 member search party sought the weapon used as police and volunteers combed the area near his isolated home. His wallet with about $100 was missing and bloodhounds joined the hunt.

Soviet police sealed off access to the Ghanaian embassy in Moscow after a demonstration by about 500 Ghanaian and African students.
