Americans massacred by German tank force in Belgium
Surviving Doughboys described a Nazi counter offensive in which Tiger tanks fired on a disarmed unit of about 150 Americans. They were trapped at a road fork, lined up, and shot as German troops searched for valuables. Fleeing survivors hid in mud as one Tiger advanced, and fewer than 20 made it back to lines three hours later.
